Learning work skills...

Posted on January 28, 2010 at 6:13 PM

I just got home from my internship program at Anthem Insurance. The name of this program is called Project Search and it's an extension of the career center.  I work on many office skills such as: filing, mail preparation and computer data entry. There has even been some discussion about me answering phones, but this hasn't materialized probably due to the fact that I would engage in a little too much extra conversation.

I really love being in the work world and I feel this will help me toward my goal of regaining independence.

The Climb

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
