College Visit

Posted on February 20, 2010 at 7:59 PM

I went to visit my brother, Joe and sister, Bailie at Ohio University for sibs weekend; my step-mom took me. I also saw my good friend, Kenzie, who goes to school there. It was nice being in the college atmosphere and seeing what college life is like. I had a great time! The strange thing is, it felt like I shouldn’t be the one visiting. I should be a student there and my youngest sister, Krista, should have been the one visiting me. For the time being, it seems like God has other plans for me. I don’t know what road this whole experience is going to take me down. All I know is I’m looking forward to the journey. There have been a lot of ups and downs along the way but I am happy to endure these adventures if it means that my life ambitions will be achieved.

I know just what you mean, Rachel. But, I know you can acheave your goals- even if it is the long way around. I felt that way too when I visited my little sister at OSU, instead of being in college myself. But, time is the greatest healer in TBI. Who knows where you will be in a few years...

Besides- my sister now helps me with algrabra concepts, so it can be a good thing that your brother and sister went first! And, when it is your turn, they can help you

Never give up, Rachel!

The Climb

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
