About Me

My name is Brenda.  I saw about Rachel getting shot on the news the night it happened.  I just felt compelled to find a way to contact her parents and tell them NOT to give up hope and PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!  I am a survivor also. I was shot in the head also, in Louisville, KY.  Rachel and I are the lucky ones I feel!  We are MIRACLES!  I'm older now, but still have reprecussions.  April 10 will be 18 years the day I was shot.  Since, my motto has always been one day at a time!  Rachel and I are on God's time.  Rachel has inspired me sooooo much.  She is a wonderful lady.  The Lord is on our side, Rachel!!!!

Wow you guys are both so inspirational. My injury was almost 25 years ago and I am just starting to find others who have suffered injuries such as mine. It was getting kinda lonely.

The Climb

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
