Rachel's Miracle

don't let anyone take away your miracle

Graduation

Since Rachel's injury occurred just days before the start of her senior year of high school, there was some concern whether she would be able to graduate with her class. As it turned out, Rachel had already passed the required state exam and had earned all the required credits needed to graduate; with the exception of speech. A benefit of Columbus Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation unit was an on staff certified Columbus Public School teacher. This teacher worked closely with Rachel's high school, Thomas Worthington. Rachel was able to earn her speech credit while being a patient at the hospital.

The Climb

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
